As we approach the beginning of the school year, I can’t help but be reminded of the impact teachers have had on my life and my children’s lives over the years.
Teachers put out ‘fires’, navigate kids getting sick, make quick decisions, and create a fun learning environment. The list of what teachers do behind the scenes is endless. Teachers truly are undercover superheroes.
Once a year, there is a teacher appreciation week in May. I love this focus because it blesses our teachers. I have another idea to add to this. What about blessing our children’s teachers throughout the year?
As a former teacher myself, I understand the power of appreciation. One parent, in particular, did simple things that made my day more than once throughout the school year.
One day, she brought me my favorite fruit smoothie. This parent also introduced me to one of my favorite snacks of peanut butter on graham crackers.
These simple gifts blessed me in so many ways. So, how can you bless your child’s teacher? I have created a printable for you to use. At the beginning of the year, ask your child’s teacher to fill it out.
Anytime during the year, pull this list out and surprise your child’s teacher with a little gift. It can be as small or large as you desire.
At Christmas time or when Teacher Appreciation Week comes around, reference this list to pick out a gift your child’s teacher will love because it is tailored to their favorite things.
I would love to share this ‘These are a Few of My Favorite Things’ Printable with you. By signing up to receive the Teacher Gifts Printable, you’ll also receive my weekly newsletter filled with encouragement, family ideas, and current blog posts.
