I am originally from Cleveland, Ohio. I am third in line of eight children, three boys and five girls. As you can imagine there was never a dull moment. My growing up years were filled with adventures of all sorts, moving several times, and Cleveland Indians games. Go Tribe! In second grade, my teacher greatly impacted me. I decided that I wanted to be a teacher when I grew up.
In the fall of 2000, I began teaching 6th grade Reading full time at the Middle School. I taught there for 3 years and then moved over to an Elementary School and taught 2nd grade for 3 years. I learned so much in those years of teaching and do miss it some.
The greatest job I have ever had though is being a Mom. In my last year of teaching, I was pregnant with our oldest daughter. I have been home ever since. Now, we have four kids, ages 13, 11, 9, and 7.
In May of 2016, my first book was published. My friend Natalie Replogle and I co-authored a devotional called When the Bases are Loaded. We understand the joy and demands of motherhood. In our devotional, we encourage Moms to pause and dig into God's word each day for strength and encouragement.
