At Hearts at Home, I attended a workshop called Discipline that Connects with Your Child’s Heart. It was led by Jim and Lynne Jackson. Today, I will share some points from the workshop.

What to Do When You See Jesus

“And as they went, Jesus met them and greeted them. And they ran to him, grasped his feet, and worshiped him.” Matthew 28:9, NLT If Jesus was coming towards you right now, how would you react? Maybe you would start asking a lot of questions or maybe you wouldn’t even be able to speak. The response of two women in the Bible, Mary Magdalene, and the other Mary, challenged me this past Easter morning. They did three things when they saw Jesus. Run, grasp, and worship.

Every meal is a chance to gather, share, and give thanks.

One of my favorite memories from growing up was our meal times together. I wanted to be sure to do that when I had my own family. Dinner is a way to bond as a family and focus on all we have to be grateful for.

How often does your family sit down together? I encourage you to try at least once a week and more if possible.
