3 Things I Tell My Kids Every Day
Mother’s Day is just around the corner. I absolutely love being a Mom. As Moms, we have so much power with our words. We can hurt or we can heal.
My desire is to build up my kids and pour truth into them with my words. One of the ways I do this is telling my kids three things before they leave for the day. Today, I will share those words with you.
You’re strong
First, I tell my kids “You’re strong.” I want my kids to see themselves as someone with great strength. I want them to know that is how God sees them also.
You’re Brave
Second, I tell my kids “You’re brave.” Whatever comes their way, I want them to believe they can handle it because God is with them.
We have read the story of David and Goliath many times over the years. David was young but he was brave. I remind my kids they are like David and can conquer the giants.
You’re going to do great things for God today
And finally, I tell my kids “You’re going to great things for God today.” I want my kids to know I believe in them. I know they will reflect God in their actions. I desire their focus to be on serving God and loving others. So, this truth speaks over their lives and helps them to focus on serving God instead of themselves.
The words we speak are powerful. Hopefully, this was an encouragement to you to speak life and truth over your kids no matter what their age is. Do you have something you tell your kids every day? If so, I would love to hear it. Please comment below.
Remember, you are strong. You are brave. You will do great things for God today.
