Ohio, Marriage Retreat, and Hillsong
Wow! It’s already May! We enjoyed a full but fun April. How did your April go? Today is my monthly Friday Favorites post where I share my five favorite things from the previous month. Ohio, Marriage Retreat, and Hillsong are just a few of my favorite things from this past month. Read on to see what my other favorites are.
My friend Tara and I headed to Ohio to see our friend Marcie in early April. The time with Marcie was so rich and was a blessing for all our hearts. We enjoyed yummy food, went to see a movie and had some great talks. I also experienced IKEA for the first time. Wow! That place is amazing!!
Our church hosted the Married People Retreat in April. The time to focus on our marriage was a blessing. We walked away with strategies to strengthen our relationship. I also really enjoyed connecting with other couples and encouraging them in their marriages.
Jonathan and I went to the Hillsong concert in Fort Wayne. Wow, just wow! It was an incredible time of worship and praise. Pastor Brian Huston gave a challenging and encouraging message about pain being a way God displays His power. I absolutely love Hillsong’s music so it was such a blessing to hear them live.
Secret Keeper Girl
My girls and I attended Secret Keeper Girl Live. The program focuses on how we are God’s masterpiece. He created us exactly the way we are and it’s good. Secret Keeper Girl also addressed the importance of modesty. I loved this time with our girls.
Mother and Son Dance
The parks department hosted a Mother Son Dance at the end of April. Nathan and I have gone the past 2 years. This year was Caleb’s first year. Both boys enjoyed the food. We ended up going to the park instead of staying for the dance. I loved connecting with our boys and watching them play.
I hope you enjoyed reading about the five things I am grateful for this past month. It was fun writing about it all. How about you? What are you grateful for this past month? I would love to hear about your month. Please share in the comments below. Have a great weekend!
