The 3 W’s of a Prayer Walk

“Dear God, please help all the teachers have strength for this year. We also pray for health and COVID to be gone.” This was one of the many prayers lifted by our children on our recent prayer walk around the kid’s school.  As parents, we have the amazing privilege of praying for our children. I Will Carry it With You

The way Scott responded brought me to tears and challenged me. “Oh, that’s no problem. I don’t care if I get it. I will carry it with you. You just lead the way.”   On our way out of town a couple of years ago, we stopped in to see Jonathan‘s friend Scott, at his custom…

My Word of the Year for 2020

At first, my Word of the Year was savor. I spent a lot of time reflecting and praying about it in the early part of December last year. I confidently moved forward and felt excited about learning to savor in 2020. And then, around December 27, I started to question. Is savor really my word for…

A Card in the Mail

The ache in my heart doesn’t really lessen any as the years go by. When July 7th comes each year, I wonder what it would have been like to see Jeremiah David fully grown. Would he have had curly hair like his siblings or would it have been straight? Would he be tall like his…

Every meal is a chance to gather, share, and give thanks.

One of my favorite memories from growing up was our meal times together. I wanted to be sure to do that when I had my own family. Dinner is a way to bond as a family and focus on all we have to be grateful for.

How often does your family sit down together? I encourage you to try at least once a week and more if possible.
