Fall and a Free Light

We enjoyed a full but fun week. How did your week go? Today is my Friday Favorites post where I share my five favorite things from the previous week. Fall, a Free Light, and Date Night are just a few of my favorite things from this past month. Read on to see what my other favorites are.

1. Fall Traditions

Fall is my favorite season of the year! I love the cooler weather and beautiful colored leaves. I also enjoy the traditions we do as a family. One of those is going to Kercher’s to get pumpkins. We enjoyed a hayride out to the patch and the hunt for the β€˜perfect’ pumpkin. This year the kids painted their pumpkins and we made caramel apples for our Fall Party.

Another fall tradition is attending a fall party at an area church. The kids absolutely love the Noah’s Ark Carnival! In fact, Nathan has been counting down since the first day of October. Clinton Frame church provides a meal, lots of door prizes, fun games and loads of candy for the kids. It was a fun family night!

2. A Free Light Fixture

My friend Jessica posted on Facebook about a free light fixture. I jumped at the opportunity. I have wanted to change the light in our dining area for quite some time but it hasn’t made the priority list.Β  So, it was an extra big blessing when God used Jessica to provide a light!

3. Β DateΒ NightΒ

I love this weekly time to connect with Jonathan. This weekly time is used to connect and grow deeper in our marriage.Β I love being able to have conversation without interruption.

4. Running

I ran for the first time this week since the beginning of May. It was incredible to lace up my shoes and hit the pavement. I needed to take a break from running because I have been recovering from surgery on my nose and neuroma in my right foot. I am taking it slow but it feels so amazing to be back! Here’s to many more miles to come!

5. TheΒ Morning Sky

This morning, I walked outside to take a run. As I looked up, I was overwhelmed with how amazing God is. The sky was clear and breathtaking. There were so many stars! I really wish I could have captured it with a picture. My favorite part on my walk/run was when I rounded the corner to head down my street. I couldn’t help but lift my hands in worship. God created every single star I could see in addition to all the ones I couldn’t see. And that same God cares about every detail of my life. (And your life too) That fact leveled me this morning and I couldn’t help but praise our amazing God.

I hope you enjoyed reading about the five things I am grateful for this week. It was fun writing about it all. How about you?Β What are you grateful for this week? I would love to hear about your week. Please share in the comments below. Have a great weekend!
