Family, Birthday Burger, and a Field Trip
It has been a full week around here. How has your week been? Family, Birthday Burger, and a Field Trip are just a few of my favorite things from this week. Read on to see what my other favorites are.
Family
My older sister Beth and her daughter Annabelle came in this past Friday to spend time with our family. It is always so fun to see them. The kids love their cousin Annabelle and get along really well together. Aunt Beth lavishes her love on the kids which blesses my heart.
We ate dinner at Costco and dessert at Krispy Kreme which was a treat since the light was on. Beth and I enjoyed talking and catching up. We also made an apple pie. Recently, I found a gluten, dairy, and egg free pie crust. I havenβt had an apple pie for almost two years because of my food allergies so that was an extra treat for me.
Book Signing
I love our hometown of Goshen. They are a supportive community in so many ways. My co-author and I participated in a book signing this past Friday at a local bookstore called βBetter World Books.β It was a fun and relaxing time talking with old friends, current friends and connecting with new people too. Natalie and I love to share about the devotional we wrote. It is our prayer that women would be blessed and encouraged as they dig into Godβs word.
Birthday Burger
My birthday was at the end of September. And since I am part of the Ruby Tuesday club, I received a coupon for a βFree Burger.β This past Tuesday, were able to get down to Ruby Tuesday and enjoy my burger. I wanted to have a picture of my burger to show you but I remembered too late. I LOVE burgers! Honestly, I prefer a burger over chocolate or dessert any day. Ruby Tuesday also has an amazing salad bar. My favorite part of the night though was being with Jonathan and connecting. I love these weekly times to help us grow more in our marriage.
Celebrating Analiahβs 6th birthday
Analiah is now 6 years old. Wow! Time is flying. One of our birthday traditions is going out for ice cream. The birthday person chooses the place and flavors. This year Analiah chose Honey’s. It is a self serve yogurt place with many toppings to choose from. Analiah enjoyed picking her 3 flavors and 3 toppings. Analiah bringsΒ so much joy to our family! Her laugh is contagious and she keeps us on our toes with her adventurousΒ personality. We know God has great things in store for Analiah this coming year.
Field trip with Micaela
This morning, I attended Micaelaβs 5th-grade class field trip. We went to βThe Gathering at Five Medalsβ which I have never been to before. What an experience! Guests are transported back in time about 200 years and experience what life was like. Here is a picture to give you an idea.
Even though it was a great time, my favorite part by far was being with Micaela.
I hope you enjoyed reading about the five things I am grateful for this week. It was fun writing about it all. How about you?Β What are you grateful for this week? I would love to hear about your week. Please share in the comments below. Have a great weekend!
What an awesome week you had! Full of lots of fun adventures and great memories made!
