A Birthday Party, An Egg Shell, and Fall Break
It has been a great week around here. How has yours been? A Birthday Party, An Egg Shell, and Fall Break are just a few of my favorite things from this week. Read on to see what my other favorites are.
Analiah’s Birthday Party
We celebrated Analiah’s 6th birthday with four of her friends. After Analiah’s favorite dinner and birthday cake, we headed out to a nearby park. Analiah loved the zip line. It was fun watching Analiah play with her friends. She commented, “This is the best day ever!”

New Martin’s in Dunlap
My husband and I went out on Tuesday evening. After dinner and a quick stop, we headed to the mall to sit and talk. On our way there, we discovered the Martin’s in Dunlap opened. We have been anxiously awaiting the Grand Opening. We both really enjoy the space in the Side Door Deli at Martin’s. As we watched this Martin’s go up we were hoping it would be a nice spot to meet. We were not disappointed. The loft area is amazing!! Lots of space and about three sets of comfy couches. There is even an elevator up to the top. I know we will frequent this Martin’s often!
An Egg Shell
I enjoyed baking this week. As I cracked the eggs, I know I dropped an eggshell but I couldn’t find it anywhere in the mixer bowl. I prayed about it and asked God to show me where it was. As I poured the casserole into a baking dish, guess what was left in the bowl? The small eggshell. So amazing! God is so good, isn’t He? I love how he cares about the little things.

MOPS Meeting
MOPS, which stands for Mothers of Preschoolers, is a group I am a part of. I love this time of my week! The breakfast food is always an added bonus. I enjoyed the fellowship at our table as we shared real life and connected on a deeper level. The creative activity for the meeting was assembling a meal and side to take home and use that evening if we wanted to.

MOPS devotional
My favorite part of the meeting was sharing the devotional. I love encouraging women in their walks with Jesus. I challenged the ladies (and myself) to watch the words that come out of our mouths especially with our husband and children. The key verse for the devotional comes from Proverbs 31:26, “She speaks with wisdom and faithful instruction is on her tongue.”

Fall Break
My kids have been on Fall Break this whole week. It has been so fun to have a more relaxed schedule! The weather was incredible at the beginning of the week and we enjoyed lots of outside time. Baseball has become a new favorite around our house this week which I love because it’s my favorite sport. I have really enjoyed the extra hours with the kids. The week has not been without its challenges but in the challenges is often when we grow. I am so thankful to be a Mom to four great kids.
I hope you enjoyed reading about the five things I am grateful for these past couple of weeks. It was fun writing about it all. How about you? What are you grateful for this week? I would love to hear about your week. Please share in the comments below. Have a great weekend!
