Hearts at Home #3- There could never be a more beautiful YOU!

It’s been so fun sharing with you all that I learned while I was at the Hearts at Home conference. I hope you have enjoyed reading my posts. The third workshop I attended on Friday was called There could never be a more beautiful you! led by Katie Dilse. I LOVED this workshop! It was so encouraging and I walked away with a lighter step. The three main points that I gleaned were: Be who you were created to be- God made you this way, Give away your gift, and On our knees is when we are most beautiful.

Be who you were created to be- God made you this way

The workshop began with Katie encouraging us to be beautiful just as we are. She addressed how for women that is very hard to do. We constantly compare ourselves to others instead of focusing on the beauty within ourselves. She asked us point blank β€œWhen is the last time you felt beautiful?” That was a challenging question. If you are like most women, you probably think back to when you rocked an outfit and felt beautiful. That was where my mind went also. Katie challenged us that when we are who God created us to be, we are beautiful. God created each one of us with gifts and talents. When we walk this out, we are radiating beauty. I am challenged by this and want to live out who God created me to be.

Give away your gift

Another main point I learned from this workshop was the importance of giving away our gift. Katie asked us β€œWhat do you rock at?” If we couldn’t come up with something, she encouraged us to ask our friends. For example, being an organized person is a beauty. We need to be able to see the beauty within ourselves. And once we see that beauty, we need to share it with others. Our beauty isn’t meant to keep to ourselves. When we share it with others they can be blessed and encouraged in their journey.

On our knees is when we are most beautiful

Katie wrapped up the workshop with my final take away. She stated that when we are on our knees we are most beautiful. I love that thought! Why are we most beautiful on our knees? Because we recognize that it is all about God and the need to surrender to Him. We need to take time to be in the Word and learn how to be more like Jesus. God has given us each a beauty. When we live it out and shine, we are pointing others to Him. God is being glorified.

Can you see why I walked away encouraged and fired up? No matter what the world may say, I am beautiful! God has created me on purpose and for a purpose. He wants me to give away my gifts to bless others. The more I am in communion with God and on my knees before Him, the more my beauty within grows and shines. My dear friend, you are BEAUTIFUL! There can never be a more beautiful YOU! Walk in that truth and shine YOUR light today.
