How to Thrive in Busy Seasons
The school year and sports seasons are in full swing around here. It’s been fun but also wearing. Maybe you can relate? One place I love to go for encouragement when I am in a busy season is the Bible. Here are five of my favorite scripture verses to help you to thrive in this busy season.
Psalm 18:29
“In your strength I can crush an army; with my God I can scale any wall.” Psalm 18:29
Did you know that with Jesus on your side you can crush an army and even scale a wall? Maybe it’s that wall of laundry that never ends. Or an army to-do list that seems too long. Lean into God’s strength to conquer whatever it may be.
Matthew 11:28-30
Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.” Matthew 11:28-30
When I feel overwhelmed, these are the verses I go to. They get me back to where I need to be; letting Jesus carry my load. It’s not intended for me anyway. Are you feeling weary today? Come to Jesus. He will give you rest. Let Jesus carry your load.
Ephesians 1:19-20
“I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms.” Ephesians 1:19-20
God’s power is incredible. And it’s available to each of us at all times. 24 hours, 7 days a week. It never runs out. Tap into God’s power to face whatever comes your way.
Colossians 1:11
“We also pray that you will be strengthened with all His glorious power so you will have all the endurance and patience you need. May you be filled with joy.” Colossians 1:11
As Moms, we need lots of patience. That is why I love this verse. On our own, we cannot be patient. We need God to strengthen us with His power. God will also give us endurance and fill us with joy. What an incredible promise!
Zephaniah 3:17
“For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.” Zephaniah 3:17
This verse is one of my all-time favorites. Whatever you face in this busy season of life, God is with you! His love will calm all your fears. Friend, God sings over you. Isn’t that just amazing? Lean into your mighty Savior. He will fill you with all you need.

I love God’s word! It’s so life-giving and encouraging. Hopefully, these scripture verses encouraged your heart today. Keep turning to Jesus for everything you need. He will not disappoint!
