How to Camp on God’s Truth
“I can’t believe she said that about me!” I cried in exasperation to my husband. After talking about the situation with Jonathan, once again, I needed to turn to God’s truth.
Have you ever received a text or email from someone who accused you of something you haven’t done? Or maybe someone attacked your character. This has happened to me a couple of times these last several weeks.
It is in these moments, that we need to make a decision. Do we listen to the lies of the enemy trying to tear us down or do we listen to and camp on God’s truth? I know the right answer to this but it is not always easy especially when you feel “beat up” by someone’s words. But, we must fight back with the truth of God’s Word. We must camp on His truth.
In order to do that, we need to read the Bible. So, this past week, I dug into God’s word and mediated on His truth. I read verses about His character and His love for me. I reviewed verses about His faithfulness and protection. God reminded me to come to Him for rest. It was a sweet time to soak in God’s presence and truth. Below are a few of the verses I meditated on.
God’s truth is always before me
God’s word is amazing, isn’t it? I am blown away by all the nuggets of wisdom and encouragement throughout the Bible. One of my goals each day is to keep God’s Word always before me. To keep it at the forefront of my mind and hidden in my heart. (Psalm 119:11)
One of the ways I do that is by using Scripture verse lock screens and desktop wallpapers. As I work on my computer or look at my phone throughout the day, I have God’s truth in front of me. I created some lock screens and desktop wallpapers using the Scripture verses I shared above. I would love to share these with you. My heart is to encourage you to keep your thoughts fixed on God.

Friend, whatever you find yourself facing today, God’s Word is the go-to place for encouragement. Dig into the Bible and camp on God’s truth. Which of the Scripture verses that I shared really impacted you and why? Please share in the comments below. I look forward to hearing from you.
“The law of the Lord is perfect reviving the soul…the precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart." Psalm 19:7-8
