Jonathan- Yahweh gives

Today I celebrate my favorite person in the world, my husband Jonathan.  His name means Yahweh gives. Jonathan is truly a gift in my life as well as so many other’s lives. Here are some of the many reasons why Jonathan is a gift to me. Jonathan is sold out for Jesus, he is committed and dependable, a great father to our kids, and an amazing provider for our family.

Faith is rock solid

Jonathan is rock solid in his faith. He loves Jesus and is not afraid to tell others about him. The heart he has for our neighbors and all he comes in contact with challenges and blesses me. Jonathan depends on God and trusts in Him no matter what is happening on life. He goes through the ups and downs of life depending on God’s strength. He lets God refine him even when it’s tough. Jonathan leads our family in this way too.

Consistent

Jonathan is consistent. He has been there for me since Day 1 of our marriage. He has stayed by my side no matter how hard it has been. Jonathan is my number one cheerleader. He is committed to our marriage no matter what. I know he meant every word of the vows he made to me almost 15 years ago. I can depend on him and love the way Jonathan continues to love and date me.

An awesome Dad

Jonathan is a Dad who loves our kids. He is involved in their lives. Jonathan knows what they like and dislike. He is balanced with work hours and comes home each day. Even though Jonathan is tired from a long day at work, he throws them in the air, plays games, and is just present in their lives. The girls know how beautiful they are because Jonathan pours into them. The boys know they are strong warriors because of the ways Jonathan pours into them. They want to be like Daddy. Our kids are so blessed to have Jonathan as their Dad.

Hard worker

Jonathan works hard day in and day out to provide for our family. In 2006, he created the Tree Business to provide for our family. Since then, Jonathan has built up the business to provide for our family. He does hard labor all day long and still comes home ready to engage and love on his family.

Today, I celebrate one of the greatest men alive today. This verse describes Jonathan perfectly: “God testified concerning him: ‘I have found David son of Jesse, a man after my own heart; he will do everything I want him to do.” – Acts 13:22

He truly is a man after God’s heart. You are a gift to so many Jonathan. I love you and I celebrate you today. Happy 37^th Birthday!
