Traditions, Girls Night and a Vision Retreat
Wow! Itβs already February! We enjoyed a full but fun January. How did your January go? Today is my monthly Friday Favorites post where I share my five favorite things from the previous month. Traditions, Girls Night and a Vision Retreat are just a few of my favorite things from this past month. Read on to see what my other favorites are.
Traditions
I love traditions because I enjoy looking forward to similar experiences each year. The beginning of this month was packed with many traditions. First, we enjoyed our traditional New Yearβs Day dinner at Cheddarβs which was a newΒ restaurant that we really enjoyed.
The next day, we enjoyed making cookies with our friends. In the past couple of years, we have made gingerbread cookies. This year we decided to make cut out cookies. Super yummy!
One more tradition that we packed in at the beginning of the month was Weishaupt & Corbin Christmas. We have done this Christmas celebration for the last several years. Jonathan and Aimee are some of our close friends and we love having our families grow together.
Girls Night
Over Christmas break, I thought it would be fun to go see Mary Poppins Returns. So, I organized a Girls Night and invited several friends. We ended up having a very fun group and enjoying dinner at Hacienda. Next, we headed over to see Mary Poppins Returns. Oh, my goodness, the movie was AMAZING! I smiled so much throughout the movie. It was very well done! If you havenβt seen it yet, I highly recommend it.

New Recipes
On January 7, Jonathan and I started a program called FASTer Way to Fat Loss. We are part of a group with an amazing coach that is helping us to learn about intermittent fasting and carb cycling. It has been so much fun! My favorite part of this has been all the new recipes we are trying. One of my favorites is called Low Carb Crustless Taco PieΒ which is low carb, high protein and absolutely delicious. Click HERE for the recipe.
Refuel
Refuel is a conference for Worship Leaders held at Bethel College every January. It is always an amazing time to be refreshed and refueled as a worship leader. The workshops and speakers are so encouraging. I also love the time to connect with my teammates.
Vision Retreat
During the last weekend of January, I attended a Vision Retreat in Hocking Hills, Ohio that was hosted by my life coach. The Vision Retreat was an absolutely amazing experience! Itβs hard to put into words what this weekend meant to me. God grew me in powerful ways and helped me to see myself as He does. I met incredible people, made precious new friends, and walked away with a clear vision for 2019. This coming year is going to be amazing!!
I hope you enjoyed reading about the five things I am grateful for this past month. It was fun writing about it all. How about you?Β What are you grateful for this past month? PleaseΒ share about your month in the comments below. Have a great weekend!
