Confession-I’m not ready for Easter!
It’s Easter in five days and I haven’t done a thing with my kids. Easter came fast for me. Maybe you can relate? Easter is my favorite holiday of all time yet I haven’t taken time to reflect on the significance of Easter or even help my kids reflect. It’s in these moments that I have to remember that a little is still a lot.
Even a little
A little is still a lot. What do I mean by that? Even a simple reading of the Easter story is a lot. One simple craft before Easter still has a lot of meaning. Easter activities or not, a little is still a lot.
Your value
Remember your value as a Mom doesn’t depend on how much you do. If you do a lot of Easter crafts and activities, that’s great. If you do nothing more than telling your kids why Easter is important to you, that’s great too. You’re still a valuable Mom because of who you are not because of how much you do.
There is still time
Easter is five days away. That’s plenty of time to do something to reflect on the meaning of Easter. I found a great resource on Focus on the Family. It’s a packet of activities for different ages. Hopefully, this is helpful for you!
There is still time to prepare for Easter. Even if you have done several activities or may not have the energy to do anything, your value as a Mom doesn’t depend on that. And finally, remember even a little is a lot. Happy Easter!
