What are your Favorite Smells?

Sniff…sniff. Do you smell that? A fresh batch of chocolate chip cookies just out of the oven. Or maybe you smell a Christmas tree and it takes you back to the adventure of finding the perfect tree.

Smells have a lot of memories attached to them. They can bring a smile or a frown. Today, I thought it would be fun to share five of my favorite smells.Β  Some of them might surprise you.

1. Laundry fresh off the line

There is just something about the smell of laundry dried on a clothesline. I love it! The smell brings back many memories of my Grandma. When I was a kid, I used to help hang and take down laundry at my Grandma’s house. Oh, how I miss those times!

2. Scented Candles

I love the smell of certain candles. Two of my favorites are Cinnamon Caramel Swirl and Mulled Cider. It is so soothing to have a candle lit in the house especially on a cold day.

3. Freshly Baked Bread

Oh my goodness, I am getting hungry even as I write this. Freshly Baked Bread has an amazing smell! I use my breadmaker most of the time to make bread. There is a certain time in the cycle that it really starts to smell. Yummy!

4. Roses

My favorite flower scent is hands down Roses. They are a gorgeous flower and the smell just adds to the beauty. I love to have roses in the house and just β€˜drink’ in their smell.

5. Rain

I can often smell the rain before it starts. I love this smell because I really enjoy listening to the rain. It’s a soothing and refreshing sound for me. Someday, I would love to have a large porch to sit on while it rains.

This was a fun post to write! I hope this post brought some joy and fun to you. What are some of your favorite smells? What memories surface for you when you smell something? Please comment below. I would love to hear about your favorite smells.
